Direct orders under 100% Digital, how does this work exactly?

Since 1 January, numerous growers and buyers have been operating 100% Digital and, as a result, no longer using manual direct orders. But how exactly does it all work in Floriday? How can the buyer view my supply? How should you operate when you can no longer create direct orders? And where are orders coming in, and is it possible to view them? How do you make corrections? In this blog, we'll update you on the entire direct order process from A to Z!

How can the buyer view my supply?

Buyers can view and make purchases from growers' current supply in FloraMondo or FloraXchange. This supply can also be found in the links that buyers have created with Floriday, which contains specific growers' supply. And finally, buyers can 'connect' with growers in Floriday and then look around the grower's shop. It is therefore essential that, as a grower, you activate your shop so that the buyer can subsequently make purchases there.

How should I operate if I can no longer make direct orders?

During the 100% Digital temporary leniency period, it will still be possible to manually create direct orders for buyers who have been granted leniency up until 31 March. This is actually more or less the same as sending a Connect EAB through your own software package, but you will be doing it through Floriday instead. After 31 March, it will no longer be possible, nor necessary, to do this, as buyers will then be placing orders on your current supply through Floriday and the API link (or VMP, Florecoms). This automatically creates a direct transaction, meaning entering orders is no longer necessary. It is essential, however, that your supply is online.

How do I properly set up my delivery conditions?

Buyers obviously want to know when products they have ordered from you will be delivered, which is why it is crucial that you properly set up your delivery conditions in Floriday. After all, proper delivery conditions create clarity for customers. Determine delivery locations, delivery times as well as extra charges for services such as labelling.

Where do orders come in when a buyer orders something?

If a buyer orders something, orders to be delivered come in and are stored under "Sales orders". A sales order wil then be transformed into a pending delivery that you can view under 'Fulfillment orders', and this is where you can determine trolley layout and complete the delivery. If you are using your own software package, you can arrange delivery in your own package.

How do I make corrections?

On occasion, you may have to modify orders that have been previously made, because quantity or price aren't quite right, for example. But how exactly do you go about it? Just go to Sales > Sales orders and search for the delivery in question. For each order, on the far right of the screen, you will find 3 dots one under the other; just click here and, after that, on 'make correction'. Here you can adjust price, packaging code, number of packaging units and number of units to make the order correct.

What should I do if buyers place orders over the phone?

You should encourage buyers who place orders by telephone or email to use Floriday. A practical way to do this is to send buyers a special offer or a purchase tip with the order they have previously submitted. You just choose which trade items you wish to supply and select a special offer (flexible validity and for several customers) or a purchase tip (short-term special offer (3 hours) for one customer).
