Floriday expert June looks back on IFTEX 2023 in Kenya with a good feeling. From 6 to 8 June, she and colleague Loraine had ample opportunity to speak to numerous growers and buyers about Floriday at the international fair, offering demos and comprehensive advice about working with Floriday.
While last year many visitors were unfamiliar with Floriday, this year saw far more detailed questions and interest from both growers and buyers.
Growers showed particular interest in new outlets for their products. They were curious about the different channels and distribution options that Floriday offers. "It was clear that growers want to keep learning more about the various opportunities available for marketing their products," June said. "And they are now ready to make maximum use of Floriday for this purpose."
Buyers, on the other hand, were focused primarily on optimising their purchasing process. They wanted a smarter way of purchasing and were interested in the features of Floriday that could help with this. June said, "Many buyers expressed a desire to receive offers from growers and wondered how this works through Floriday."
Loraine and June used their expertise to the full by giving demonstrations in addition to all the talks. "I think we got to do about 45 demonstrations in three days," said June. These demos gave growers and buyers the chance to experience Floriday's capabilities in real time and understand how the platform can help them with their specific needs.
June said, "We regularly showed growers how to optimise their catalogue and showed buyers the best methods of searching for the offer they want.
She added, "I expect a lot of activity at Floriday in the next season. Many growers already active on Floriday are now taking the time to explore the platform more fully, and new growers are seizing the chance to kickstart their operations."
