Native Blooms works with Floriday “We can now reach a wider range of customers”

Native Blooms, an Ecuadorian rose nursery producing 30 million stems annually, has found valuable opportunities in the Dutch and European markets through working with Floriday. Since November 2022, Floriday has played a significant role in transforming Native Blooms' business operations and enabling them to expand internationally.

Floriday has become an essential tool for Native Blooms, allowing them to showcase their high-end rose varieties to European buyers through daily market offers. Additionally, the strategic guidance from account managers in South America, provided by Royal FloraHolland, has been instrumental in their decision-making process regarding product selection, pricing, and timing.

A notable benefit of working with Floriday is the direct link between Native Blooms' supply and the webshop of A. Noort BV, a Dutch exporter webshop. This streamlined integration ensures a steady outlet for Native Blooms' roses, with regular deliveries to A. Noort BV, thereby ensuring a year-round supply for A. Noort BV's customers.

Efficient logistics and quality control

Logistically, Native Blooms efficiently delivers flowers to A. Noort BV up to three times a week through daily flights from Ecuador to Schiphol. David: “We organise the logistics from A to B, take care of customs clearance and choose and reserve the appropriate airline companies with our freight partners. Although the flights themselves take about 10 hours, we have to set aside roughly double that time due to airport and customs procedures at both ends. Everything takes place in line with stringent safety and cold chain parameters." Once the flowers end up at A. Noort, they have already been checked on location before they enter the webshop and are soon sold from the webshop. The flowers then go to European customers.

The foundation of their collaboration lies in trust and a personal connection. The initial contact between Native Blooms and A. Noort BV was facilitated by an account manager from the Royal FloraHolland Local Office in South America. Both companies recognize the importance of building relationships based on mutual respect, especially when working with international growers like Native Blooms.
