Together with growers, agents, buyers and software suppliers, Royal FloraHolland is working extremely hard this year to have all direct transactions fully digital through Floriday by the end of 2020. Customers who are not yet ready to trade 100% Digital for direct transactions on 1 January 2021 can make use of a temporary leniency scheme until 31 March 2021 at the latest.

Floriday has recently launched the new functionalities 'My Shop' for growers and 'Direct purchasing' for buyers. In recent weeks, we have had a number of queries regarding these two functionalities and are now pleased to respond to these for you. In September, Floriday launched “My Shop” for growers and “Direct Purchasing” for buyers. These functionalities are particularly suitable for growers and buyers who intend to work via the Floriday screens. A lot of hard work has recently gone into improving clock delivery in Floriday, with input from a group of growers. In various online sessions, we discussed the necessary optimisations with growers to make this function more user-friendly and to expand it to meet the needs of the sector.

On 30 October 2018, during a festive award show in the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht, Gerhard van der Bijl of Royal FloraHolland won the Computable Award CxO of the Year. Floriday achieved a great second place in the category ICT Project of the Year. According to the jury, Gerhard owes his nomination to the redesign of the IT organization in a short period of time.

Floriday Insights will become the new tool for calling up real-time clock prices and will replace the current FloraneXt. Floriday Insights is very user-friendly and handles well on smartphones and tablets. This new tool can soon be launched from the Floriday Dashboard, so that there is the best possible link between the Floriday Platform and the new price-information tool.

The jury considers making strategic choices and implementing the fundamental changes to be essential for this type of digital transformation.
A strategic meeting was organized on 7 June for a number of interested flower growers from different product groups. Royal FloraHolland Chief Digital Officer, Gerhard van der Bijl, and Floriday Product Owner, Raymond van Sassen, guided the flower growers through all the aspects that are required for developing a platform.
In recent weeks, we have introduced several growers to two new features within Floriday: taking pictures easily with the photo function and establishing price groups. By testing these features, we can assess whether the features are working properly and are easy to use.
We are developing Floriday together with the growers through Ideation sessions. We meet with the growers for a morning or afternoon to exchange ideas about the different functionalities to be implemented in Floriday. Last month several Ideation sessions were organised.
Rene Eikelenboom is co-owner of Arcadia. He is responsible for selling the 50 million stems of disbudded chrysanthemums that are produced each year. At Arcadia 100 people work on five cultivation locations. Arcadia is part of Decorum - a joint venture of 60 growers.

In the latest issue of Grow (Royal FloraHolland's customer magazine), FloraXchange product developer, Jefry van den Hoeven, talks about Floriday. "Ultimately, we want all growers on Floriday to have a smile on their face because their daily work is being taken care of."
In the past few weeks, more flower growers have signed up to Floriday. Thus, Floriday is taking the next step as the long awaited platform for flower and plant growers. The test growers, including those associated with Decorum, can now enter their flower supply on Floriday and make it immediately available to the sales channels, including their own webshop.

We recently started Floriday Ideation, which allows growers to share their thoughts about features we are developing for Floriday. We have already had two successful sessions: a session on price calculations and a session on consignment sales.
During the Aalsmeer Trade Fair, the first growers signed up to start with Floriday. A number of them mentioned that they would like to contribute to developing Floriday.
