Good news: Track & Trace in Floriday has been extended. Thanks to new logistics screens, you can now see where your orders are at a glance. In addition, Track & Trace information is now also available for orders purchased via Auction, Auction Presales and Daytrade, and the scans for direct trade have been extended. Orders are now scanned at various points in the logistics process, so you can track their status more easily. All conveniently located in one central overview in Floriday.

Always knowing where your goods are

As a buyer, you want clarity on the status of your orders, without having to make follow-up calls. With Track & Trace in Floriday, you can see where your trade is located - at order level: from the moment it leaves the grower, via the Royal FloraHolland hub, to the delivery location. For direct trade, you can now also view more steps in this process, giving you a more complete picture of the progress of your order.

"Right now, there are many calls back and forth every day to find out where an order is. Using Track & Trace in Floriday, you can find the status of a delivery in one go, which saves a lot of time and gives more clarity," said Marcel van der Ende, Floriday's Commercial Manager. For buyers, it is ultimately about predictability: knowing where you stand and planning staff and webshop opening hours based on that. "A buyer benefits from predictability. You want to know when to expect the products as early as possible in the process ."

Now also insight into Auction, Auction Presales and Daytrade deliveries

What's new is that you now also see Track & Trace information for trading via Auction, Auction Presales and Daytrade, where order picking is applied. Because the goods are scanned at multiple points in the logistics process, more status information is available. This also allows you to better track the location of your orders for these forms of trade and align your activities and sales opportunities with the current logistical situation.

Clearer delivery overview

In addition to the expansion of scans, the Track & Trace screens have been improved. You can find this in Floriday under Logistics > Deliveries. These show the current status of your orders in one overview. This way, you can see more quickly if action is needed and better prepare for incoming trade.

The more data, the better the insight

Track & Trace helps growers and buyers to set up their processes more easily and efficiently. The value of Track & Trace grows as more parties in the chain share scanning information. "The more complete the data, the better the insight and the more predictable the delivery orders for buyers. That's why it's important for growers and carriers to share their scans through Floriday." Capturing scan moments and making them available gives a more complete picture of order progress.

Floriday as a platform for the entire journey of the order

Floriday is increasingly developing into a platform where trade and logistics information comes together. Starting as a digital marketplace for ordering, it is now growing into a platform that supports the entire order journey in the chain. "We are building an infrastructure where the order, supported by all digital means, can move seamlessly through the chain. From the moment a buyer orders, all information is collected and displayed digitally" says Marcel van der Ende. Within that development, Track & Trace plays an important role.

Looking ahead: from insight to predictability

Further development of Track & Trace focuses on increasing predictability in the logistics process. Smartly combining available scanning information will eventually create the possibility of better foresight, for example towards trade arrival times at the buyer's premises.

"What we want to move towards is an overview of statuses that really help growers and buyers. You don't need to see 100 statuses, but rather the information that is relevant to you. Ultimately, you also want to move towards a predictable time of arrival of your order (ETA)," said Marcel van der Ende.

At the same time, follow-up steps in the logistics process are being worked on. In the future, we want to make it possible to create transport orders directly from Floriday and share them with carriers. Bringing order information and transport information together in one place makes it easier not only to track where your order is, but also to organise transport around it.

Where can you find the status of your orders?

All availble Track & Trace information can be found in Floriday under Logistics > Deliveries. The scanning information is automatically linked to your order.
