Daytrade active in Rijnsburg, Naaldwijk and Aalsmeer
The number of growers active with Daytrade is growing. After a start in Rijnsburg and expansion to Naaldwijk, Daytrade has now also started in Aalsmeer at the auction groups where order picking is already active (alstroemeria, chrysanthemum). Sofie: “With feedback from growers and buyers, we are improving Daytrade. We have simplified a number of steps. In addition, we are working on making Daytrade supply transparent for buyers. For example, Clock pre-sales and Daytrade supply can now also be purchased in the growers shop. This allows you as a buyer to see all the available supply of the grower at a glance.”

International developments: purchasing in US dollars and placing order requests
Growers and buyers who trade internationally can do business with each other more easily. It has recently also become possible for growers to set delivery conditions and price groups in US dollars. Another important development is the ability of a buyer to send an order request. Sofie: “This development stems from the needs of international growers and buyers to be able to order quickly if there is no offer from the grower yet. The grower can assess the request and if accepted, it is immediately an order. A grower can also make a counter-proposal, which then becomes an offer for the buyer. This makes it easy for the international buyer and grower to trade with each other.” This function is currently being tested by a number of buyers.
Coming soon: complaints and corrections to clock transactions
Corrections to direct orders were already possible via Floriday and will soon also be possible for clock and clock pre-sales transactions. This function is currently being extensively tested by a number of buyers. Sofie: “Because this is a major change, involving multiple systems and departments, we are testing this with a small group of buyers first. This way we can see if any optimizations need to be made. Users will be informed when we can put this function live.”
