With more than 1,200 exhibitors from all over the world, the IPM Essen event is a big deal within the floriculture sector. Over four days, exhibitors will present various innovative products and services from the floriculture sector, technology and sustainability. Floriday expert Geert Wijnands will be present each day: "It will be fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces and to talk about Floriday".

This is the first time that IPM Essen is taking place since the outbreak of the coronavirus. Following a smaller summer version in June 2022, it will therefore be three years since the huge exhibition has brought together floriculture and related trades. A team of Floriday experts will man the Floriday stand in the Royal FloraHolland House every day. Their goal? To take everyone through the Floriday story and show them the capabilities of the Floriday platform!

From demo to deep dive

"'I will give visitors who are relatively unfamiliar with the platform an introduction and demonstration in the platform on our touchscreens. At times, we are able to go much deeper into functionalities such as, for example, the Explorer, which allows buyers to search the most in-depth and broadest range in Floriday. Buyers are usually eager to discover how they can make quick and easy purchases on Floriday, and of course the Explorer helps with that. For their part, growers are curious about what Floriday looks like for buyers and how their offerings are displayed.

Diverse audience, diverse conversations

Geert: "The audience here is very diverse. Aside from floriculture, the exhibition also provides a large platform for technology and sustainability. Many professionals from these disciplines also visit our stand so that makes for many types of conversations. Incredibly varied and interesting. Visitors come from Germany, the Netherlands, but there are also many other nationalities who visit Essen. We are keen to engage with anyone who shows interest."
