This is how we work with users to develop Floriday

In developing Floriday, we continuously involve growers, buyers, agents and software suppliers in the creation of new functions. In an animated video, we explain this development process further and invite users to contribute to it.

From a request to a function in Floriday

How does this happen? Growers or buyers wishing to submit a request for a function or component in Floriday can indicate this on the roadmap in Floriday. Every user can vote on the submitted requests, with the total number of votes determining, for instance, the prioritisation of the platform's development. Besides these votes, Floriday's development calendar is also determined by, among other things, technical improvements, system maintenance and functions that ensure further innovation of the platform.

Continuous testing by users

If a request is included in the schedule, the development team will start working on a first draft. Preview screens will subsequently be tested with growers and buyerswho take part in an 'ideation session' in order to test to what extent the developed requests are in line with practice. We then bring feedback from these sessions to the drawing board, with only at this point a function being developed technically. When the function is ready in Floriday's screens, we ask a small group of users, so-called 'early-access users', to test it out in practiceand, with their feedback, we make the final improvements. Finally, the function is put live in the screens, with the majority of functions becoming available in the API link with the software packages. In this way, we are in a position to develop and improve the platform on a continuous basis thanks to the users.

New approach for Floriday

A new approach for Floriday was announced at the end of March, with improved and more intensive cooperation with the market and our users a key focus. This approach thus focuses on better cooperation, broader trading possibilities, simple working and increasing predictability.
